Congratulations for winning the World Cup, USWNT!
This was the comic I originally had planned to post because I felt that the women’s soccer team’s successes were not being celebrated (up to the finals). Moreover, it was to point out that many women’s sports in the past are not taken as seriously than men’s.
However, I learned that two hours ago, New York City will hold a ticker-tape parade to celebrate their success. This is the first time in over 30 years that New York will host a ticker-tape parade for a team not based in the city: a tremendous honor! Woo-hoo!
