Why should we bother giving advice, if he/she isn’t going to listen to our advice anyways?

I think there can be two sides to this argument.

1. Side A: When people ask for advice, what they are really asking for is your opinion. Asking for opinion is a good way to help gauge your choices, though, who says that your friend’s opinion isn’t biased either? There is not a rule that says one needs to always follow another person’s advice/opinion.

2. Side B: When people ask for advice, what they are really asking for is a validation of their decision. Even a small nudge nudge towards their initial decision can help the decision-maker to become more confident – which is why they seek for “advice” from friends/family in the first place.

Which side do you agree with more? Is there a third side I had not considered?

Note: I am out of the state at the moment, and won’t be back until later. My SWTOR monday’s comic will have to be pushed to Wednesday. My apologies! <3
